ZIGR partners with defense-qualified machine shops and advanced additive manufacturing providers to produce low-rate initial production (LRIP) runs and replacement components for obsolescent systems. Capabilities include CNC machining, metal AM (e.g., DMLS, EBM), polymer printing for aerospace interiors, and hybrid subtractive-additive fabrication. All parts are delivered with traceability, quality assurance, and compliance with program-specific tech insertion requirements—often fulfilling urgent need or readiness recovery mandates.

 

When original parts are no longer available, ZIGR identifies and qualifies form-fit-function (FFF) equivalents, aftermarket components, or alternate suppliers through a rigorous vetting and testing process. We validate components through electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing, and manage required documentation for engineering change proposals (ECPs) or government acceptance. This includes sourcing through defense-focused supply networks, OEM buybacks, or long-term storage inventory recovery—ensuring readiness without compromising compliance.

ZIGR supports full program lifecycle sustainment with strategic obsolescence management plans, aligning with DoD Instruction 4245.15 and agency-specific logistics mandates.
